This session will cover concepts related to culture, generalizations, stereotypes and how they impact our attitudes and experiences. We will then discuss Intercultural Competence and an analysis of its main dimensions and apply it to case studies.

Raghad Ebied is a researcher, education and training consultant, and author in the field of Compassion, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and Leadership. She's an Ontario certified teacher (OCT) and PhD candidate in the field of Critical Policy, Equity and Leadership Studies at the Faculty of Education, Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. 

She is also a faculty member at the Center for Leading Research in Education at Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and a co-author of "Leading for Equity and Social Justice: Systemic Transformation in Canadian Education" published by University of Toronto Press.  She also developed an audio course on Intercultural Leadership for professionals with Prodio, and has worked for over 12 years in her areas of expertise with schools, universities, government, nonprofit, and community organizations.
