About the Program

Empower is a free mentorship program that launched in 2022 to connect current, aspiring, and former Student Affairs Professionals (SA-Pros) across Canada. This program is designed for folks who identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or Racialized to connect from September- May through 1-on-1 matching, group matching, and professional development (PD).


Participants can expect to network with SA-Pros from institutions across the country, have access to free PD specifically tailored to program participants, and choose between 1:1 mentorship, group matching, or both.

Step by Step Process

  1. Send in your application.
  2. Your application is carefully reviewed.
  3. We match you with 1-3 other program participants.
  4. You and/or your match(es) opt in or out.
  5. Start connecting with your matches.
