Affinity Groups
CACUSS has three affinity groups that both members and non-members are welcome to join. Affinity groups are groups formed around a shared identity, interest, or common goal. CACUSS' affinity groups are identity based. Explore the available
groups below.
This affinity group is intended for Indigenous, Black, and Racialized professionals (in all our intersections) to have a protected and affirming space for connection, sharing, and mutual learning. Our goal is to cultivate a sense of
belonging and respite, where participants can engage in meaningful dialogue and career development through informal networking. Email: agrip@cacuss.ca.
The Disability Affinity Group is a space for people in student affairs (or entering the field) who have lived through experience with disability and/or identify as Disabled. The group's goal is to share stories of lived-through experiences
and build a community of support, learning, and solidarity amongst Disabled student affairs professionals. Email: disability_affinitygroup@cacuss.ca.
The Pride Affinity group offers a space for 2SLGBTQI+ and Gender Non-Conforming folks working in (or exploring work in) student services to create and find supportive community in which to share experiences and gain strength. This
group will host events and foster connection through online gatherings. Email: pride@cacuss.ca.
