In this session, participants will receive an overview of the purpose and possibilities of mentorship between Black, Indigenous, and/or Racialized professionals. They will learn about ways to build sustainable and meaningful relationships, and develop 1-2 SMART goals to help create a structure for their mentorship and set themselves up for success.
Learning Outcomes: Understand the purpose and possibilities of mentorship Outline ways to build sustainable mentorship relationships Develop a SMART goal that can be accomplished over the course of your mentorship Folks will also have a chance to connect with other cohort members in smaller breakout rooms. Guest Speaker: Shailee Koranne (she/her), Mentoring Facilitator, Toronto Metropolitan University 
Shailee Koranne is a student affairs professional with a background in mentorship, EDI, and curriculum development. She oversees the creation and facilitation of mentorship programs for graduate students at Toronto Metropolitan University through peer, career, and group mentorship, and has written about mentorship for Inside Higher Ed and University Affairs. Shailee also works as a Subject Matter Expert in EDI curriculum development at Sheridan College. In her spare time, Shailee loves writing, cooking, and playing pub trivia.
