Higher Education has experienced labour challenges like many other industries in this post-pandemic reality. Though 'the great resignation' and 'quiet quitting' have gained traction in the media, the old adage remains true: people don't leave bad jobs, they leave bad bosses. This session will examine the theory of trauma informed care and apply it to the role of supervision. Participants will gain an understanding of the theory and how its application can support staff retention. The needs of various generations in relation to the core principles of trauma informed care will be examined.
