Through the mandate of the Scarborough Charter, universities from across Canada were encouraged to develop meaningful actions to promote Black inclusion on campus. Utilizing the principles & institutional Actions of the Scarborough Charter, our Black Student Community (BSC) Staff team launched a strategy to both engage, support and learn about our Black Student population in a context where pre-existing race-based student data is not available.

Through this presentation, you will learn the framework of the Scarborough Charter, engage in discussion on strategies for building Black Student Programming and receive insights on building Black Student Community in a College and University Context.
