Inspired by the upcoming
Canadian Student Affairs Assessment Institute
, our October Sexual Violence Prevention and Response CoP gathering is focused on how we assess and/or evaluate our sexualized violence prevention programming and support services. As practitioners, we may face pressure from our institution to demonstrate the impact–and value–of our programming and/or support services, especially during times of budget and staffing shortages. How do we navigate the tension between the production of compelling data and trauma-informed and survivor-centered practice?
Some questions to guide our discussion: - What criteria are used to measure the impact or effectiveness of your prevention or support services? Who determines these criteria?
- Considering your entire suite of programming and services, what types of information do you collect and how do you collect it?
- How do you report back to institutional leadership and/or your campus community on your findings?
- How do you review and integrate what you learn into your programming and services?
- What works well? Where are the hard edges?
You’re invited to bring samples of surveys, reports, etc. for an assessment and evaluation show and share.
- If you have already registered for our CoP series this year through Zoom, we'll re-send the Zoom link on Monday, October 27.
- If you haven't registered for our CoP series, please use this Zoom link to do so.
