Are you interested in some more ideas on working with faculty around questions of access? The UDL Pyramid of Supports is a graphic that is helpful in understanding the varying levels of support for student learning, from UDL up to specialized individual support. With so much interest and work in the area of UDL as a response to accommodation planning, we can often miss the intermediate stages of curriculum design aimed at groups of students with similar needs. In this session, we will present ways of integrating the Pyramid of Supports into pedagogy and accessibility work to move us away from the either/or of accommodations and Universal Design for Learning. You will come away from this workshop with some strategies and ideas for advancing accessibility and supporting Faculty who have questions around accommodation planning.
