We continue our commitment to thoughtful engagement with the challenges and opportunities in our field. Each meeting is a space to contribute insights, share experiences, and learn from our collective expertise as professionals committed to student development and community wellbeing.

As always, our time together will include both large group dialogue and breakout discussions, allowing for deeper exploration of key themes and practical strategies.

November’s Focus Topic: Purposeful Sanctioning Practice
This month, we’ll examine how sanctions can be designed and implemented with intentionality, educational value, and restorative impact. We’ll explore questions such as:

  • What makes a sanction meaningful?
  • How do we align sanctions with institutional values and student learning outcomes?
  • What role does context, identity, and developmental stage play in sanctioning decisions?

Whether you’re refining your conduct process, mentoring student leaders, or navigating complex cases, this session will offer space to reflect, share, and grow.

Let’s continue building a culture of care, accountability, and purpose—together.
