As we close the semester, our final meeting of the year will center on building and maintaining connections to Faculty. These sessions continue to be a space for collaborative learning, critical reflection, and shared growth—drawing from our collective expertise and experiences.
As always, the meeting will include both large group engagement and breakout discussions, offering opportunities to explore ideas and strategies in depth.
December’s Focus Topic: Building and Maintaining Connections to Faculty
This month, we’ll explore ways that we have built connection with Faculty, and talk about challenges that have come up in this endeavor. We’ll consider:
- What possibilities can come from more Faculty knowing about Student Rights and Responsibilities?
- How can creating relationships and "buy-in" from Faculty both prevent and repair harm/conflict in the classroom?
- Do you have any examples of practices that have strengthened the bridge between Student Affairs and Academic Departments?
When we are able to collaborate with Faculty on strategies to prevent, address, and repair harm and conflict in classroom spaces, we improve the safety and dignity of everyone in our campus communities.
Let’s end the year by deepening our commitment to collaboration, shared responsibilities, and community care. Register here: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/N4ZQVzY9Q3Ob0AM2Ad9Cuw
