The Conduct & Case Management Collaborative brings together student affairs professionals once each semester to connect, learn from one another, and discuss emerging issues impacting student conduct, behavioral intervention, case management, and student support.

This collaborative is designed to foster cross-functional conversations, share promising practices, explore complex case considerations, and strengthen networks among professionals doing this important work.

Whether you're responsible for student conduct, case management, threat assessment, behavioral intervention, residence life, student support, or related areas, this space offers an opportunity to:

• Discuss current challenges and trends impacting our work
• Share resources, tools, and practices from our campuses
• Explore complex case scenarios and lessons learned
• Network with colleagues across institutions
• Build a community of professionals committed to student success and well-being

Join us for a collaborative discussion as we learn from one another and continue advancing effective, student-centered practices across our campuses.

CASE STUDY: 

• Faculty reported to Student Conduct Office that Riley’s behaviour was dangerous and the class was unsafe.
• Faculty reported Riley was yelling, slamming their head on the desk, and refusing to leave when instructed during a class discussion.
• Student Conduct Staff meet with Riley who disclosed an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis.
• Riley shared that they told Faculty that they needed to take a break and Faculty replied that if they left, they would get a zero for their classwork.
• Riley is not registered with Accessibility Services.
